Joey takes 1st place in Mini Ramp at Black Diamond!

Another great day for Joey today at the Black Diamond Skatepark in Moorestown, NJ. Joey came in 1st place in Mini Ramp in the 12 and under class. He also came in 6th place in Vert open to all ages. During his runs today he landed EIGHT 540's during his runs and jams. He also performed his signature "Jett flip"- a finger flip 180!

Tomorrow Joey heads up to New Jersey for a mini & vert contest == then next week to New Hampshire for the Big Mini Ramp contest at Rye.

TampaAm- March 2007

9 year old sk8er Joey just got back from the TampaAm where he competed with many of the best sk8ers in the world!

The TampaAm is an invitational event and every sk8er has a major sponsor. Joey's sponsor is Osirus Shoes.

Joey placed placed 29th out of 35th – that does not sound good – but it was such a HARD competition = it was Joey’s FIRST vert competition – he was the only sk8er under 13 that threw a 540 – the average age was 17 – 5 kids from Brazil, two from England – it was amazing. Joey threw the 540 from the flat and made it – it was great!!
